College orientation is a difficult process...
Stress and Anxiety
Choosing your studies after high school is an important step, but it can be stressful for students and their parents.
A recent study shows that many high school students (83%) feel anxious because of Parcoursup, a complex system that is often a source of pressure.
Lack of Information
There is a lot of information about studies, but it's difficult to navigate.
A study showed that many students (71%) in their second year after high school felt they did not have enough information about the possible options in their final year.
Reorientations and Regrets
Despite the efforts, some students end up regretting their choice of studies and change their orientation, which can be more expensive.
A survey showed that many students (51%) regret their study choices. In 2023, many students (163,000) had to change their orientation (Government). This shows that career guidance is difficult.
